The 1986 ZX-400 (GPz400R in Kawasaki's naming) is a 399 cc sports bike with a DOHC liquid-cooled transverse four and four Keihin carburettors. Its 41 mm forks, 16-inch wheels and rising-rate monoshock show the standard 1980s sports-bike layout. The spec sheet is identical in its main figures to the 1985 and 1987 sheets on this site.
